Jarus is pleased to announce the latest release of its mobile solution with built-in support for Apple Pay™ and PayPal©. Policyholders can now make policy payments with the touch of a finger instead of manually entering their credit/debit card information repeatedly on their mobile device in a cumbersome way.
With Apple Pay, when a user registers a credit or debit card, the actual card numbers are neither stored on the device nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored on the user’s iPhone. Subsequently, each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique number.
“At Jarus we are committed to security, and we are excited to support secure payment technologies from Apple and PayPal”, said Sundar Vallinayagam, CEO of Jarus technologies. “In addition to increasing the overall user experience for policyholders, these convenient features help to minimize late payments for insurers”.
Apple Pay supports credit and debit cards from the three major payment networks, American Express®, MasterCard® and Visa®, issued by the top US banks.
With this release, support for PayPal® payment processing is also added as a part of Jarus’ standard offering.
